Raw Milk

I just wish everyone could have two Nubian (or other breeds) of goats in their back yard to experience what we enjoy every day - and that is drinking the wonderful raw milk (alkaline by the way) from our own dairy goats.

In some states it's legal to purchase and distribute raw milk. In other states, like mine in Arizona, it's not.  This post is not about those sorts of legalities but more so it's about how to have safe practices in handling raw milk.

We practice stellar milk handling procedures for our family and Katie's blog at Kitchen Stewardship outlines in detail how to handle raw milk (for the consumer and the owner) to keep it fresh and safe

With permission, I'm linking to Katie and suggest that if you're one interested in knowing about raw milk and how to keep it safe for your family you read the post more than once. It's excellent!
