Saturday At The Market

In between seasons can always create a bit of a dance for farmers - especially new small scale farmers like Michael and I.

We've committed ourselves to Scottsdale's North Scottsdale Farmers' Market and each week (until we harvest for this new season) we wonder how we will full our spot at the market, but each week we get a bit more creative as who and what The Simple Farm is and values unfolds.

This week we've added wheat grass and micro-greens to the selection at our farm's table. We're calling this our "Organic Juicing" section and intend to provide other produce that is just perfect for those who understand the value of juicing.  We're excited about the interest and the opportunity to provide fresh, organic wheat grass and micro-greens.

I'm especially excited about our micro greens - called French Garden and include: clover, arugula, water cress, radish, fenugreek and dill.

Oops, our signage is upside down :-)

In the weeks to come, we'll be adding carrots & beets (in spite of them being full of sugar), parsley, the dark green lettuce, kale, swiss chard, spinach and other gourmet quality vegetables to juice.

We hope to see you at the market soon!
