Come learn the basic tree and shrub pruning skills from Certified Arborist John Eisenhower. John will provide instructions on the how, why and when of proper pruning. He will explain the two worst pruning mistakes, how to train young trees for good structure and how to restore badly pruned plants and more. In addition to a pruning demonstration, there will be a hands-on session to practice what you've already learned by helping prune some of the 50 trees planted last year on The Simple Farm. Small class size means time for answering questions about your own trees and shrubs.
This workshop is limited to 20 people. To reserve your spot for this workshop - please respond to LylahLedner@gmail.com and type "Tree Pruning Workshop" in the subject line. RSVP by Saturday, February 5th.
Coffee, tea, soda, water and Michael's homemade chevre' (goat cheese) and crackers will be served.
